Nova Scotia Volunteer Round Table

Why do we need a National Volunteer Action Strategy?

In the face of rising costs, an aging population, growing social isolation and the pressure of the climate crisis, we need fresh ways to revitalize volunteerism in Canada.

A comprehensive and coordinated National Volunteer Action Strategy could:

·       Revitalize engagement and participation

  • Address economic and social cohesion challenges

  • Build communities inclusively through volunteering and service.

Let’s unite in a shared vision for inclusive volunteering that recognizes, promotes and supports the many ways Canadians work together to build strong, inclusive and connected communities.

ABOUT THE NVAS SURVEY

We need everyone’s ideas to build a National Volunteer Strategy that reflects the experiences and the needs of all Canada’s volunteer eco-system and communities. You can help shape the future of volunteerism and participation in your community.

Volunteer Canada invites nonprofits, organizations, and community collectives to co-create the National Volunteer Action Strategy (NVAS) and enhance community engagement by completing an online survey, or joining a round table discussion held in communities across Canada.
