Description Across the country, the Gutsy Walk is made possible due to the time and talents shared by thousands of volunteers in their communities. With a collective goal to deliver our mission of finding a cure for Crohn's and colitis, we are greatly appreciative and thankful for our volunteers who have continuously led the Gutsy Walk to success each year.

As a Gutsy Walk Committee Member, you’ll be working closely with a team of other volunteers to plan and promote your local virtual Gutsy Walk. Your efforts in connecting and engaging your community at a virtual level—whatever your volunteer role with Gutsy Walk—will make a big impact in raising awareness about IBD and finding cures.

We're looking for volunteers for existing walk sites, as well as starting new walks

Existing sites:
Halifax/Dartmouth
Yarmouth
Pictou County
Annapolis Valley
Amherst
Sydney

New possible site:
Truro
Training Details What we offer:
- A community of support, a dedicated staff partner, team of peers and role-specific training
- An opportunity to use and grow professional skills, expand your network
- A hands-on chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis in your community
Working Conditions Virtual work (work from home), as well as on-site locations on Gutsy Walk day. In-person work can be affected by the weather, as the event is outside. Virtual and in-person meetings.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Anytime
Time Detail Time commitment:
- Approximately 4-8 hours a month, with flexibility around your schedule
- Attending a virtual monthly evening committee meeting by teleconference or online
- This role requires a commitment until post-event wrap up in June
- Event day can involve 4-8 hours on-site (unless involved with the virtual walk)
