Description Volunteer Position Summary:
Assist “Senior’s Afternoon Out” Recreation Coordinator with program

Emotional Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to relate well to people and show empathy
Ability to use sound judgment and remain calm under pressure

Guidelines as outlined in the Volunteer Handbook must be adhered to at all times
NSHA Code of Conduct must be adhered to at all times
Confidentiality must be maintained at all times

Must be 18 years or older
Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
Ability to follow instructions and receive guidance
Demonstrated positive attitude and enthusiastic commitment to volunteer work
Able to remain calm in stressful situations
An interest in helping others

Time Commitment Required:
One or two days per week for approximately 2 hours per day
Minimum commitment 6 months
Volunteers are not expected to come in on any statutory holiday
Training Details Hospital orientation training session will be required.
Minimum Duration 4 - 6 months
Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30pm
Age 18+
