7Arts is enhancing and invigorating our local community by providing a creative space that will encourage, teach, support and promote the arts and art education. Art is strongly connected to cultural identity and a community’s history and future development. As our volunteer you will provide a creative outlet for all ages and all abilities.
Description TASKS:
-Work with the public in a positive and supportive manner
-Offer excellent customer service
-Assist participants with collecting art supplies and or craft kits
-Direct participants to the administration desk for payment, questions, calendar of activities and N.O.V.A. Club or Artist contact information
-Describe and explain craft kits, events, workshops, and lessons
-Answer questions and explain the organization’s mission, vision
-Promote the organization
-Socialize with people in the space
Training Details Our Lead volunteer will orientate you during your 1st shift and help you complete any required paperwork. Opportunities for training and workshops will be offered as available.
Working Conditions You will be working indoors in an art workshop setting. Craft Kits will be 15lbs or less. You should be able to lift these boxes and be able to refill the art supplies. The hours are flexible. Shifts will be 2hrs to 6hrs maximum. Our Board of Directors manages the overall operations of the building but your shift could be unsupervised.
