Impact Statement By spending a few hours a month with a young person, Bigs develop positive and impactful relationships with a young person.
Description Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentors (Bigs) are matched with children/youth and spend time engaging in activities enjoyable to both. Effective mentoring involves developing a positive/meaningful relationship between the mentor (Big) and the mentee (Little).

An individual applying to be a Big should be able to commit to at least 18 months service after being accepted. Outings generally take place 1x per week or 1x every other week for a few hours.
Training Details Training is provided by BBBS Agency staff. Ongoing support and coaching is provided throughout programme involvement.
Working Conditions Community based programme. Bigs pick up their Little and return them home after outings.

Time Detail Schedule is determined in collaboration with child/youth the volunteer is matched with.
