Position Various positions - Volunteering with other adults to support Girl Guides
Impact Statement Volunteering with Girl Guides means you choose to have fun, make connections, build skills, create positive change and inspire today’s girls to become everything they want to be.

Girl Guides offers girls and women the chance to make new friends, challenge themselves and put their ideas into action through an amazing range of activities developed to support girls.
Description No matter how much time you have to give, there's an opportunity for you.

You don't need to have been involved in guiding before or have loads of time to make a big difference. Whatever your skills and interests, supporting behind the scenes, there’s a role to suit you.

There are plenty of ways you can still make an impact in a supporting role, whether that’s digitally or on an ad-hoc basis. No commitment is too small – every role is vital.

These roles are perfect for you if you can’t give time every week, want to help casually or are keen to share a specific skill or passion. This can be anything from being a unit or area treasurer; soccer through to photography.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in guiding that don’t involve working directly with girls.

You might support other volunteers in your area, help us attract new members, or take on the accounts or admin for a unit. Whatever your skills or interests, there’ll be a role that suits you.
Training Details You’ll receive training in preparation for your role, and have access to ongoing training opportunities.
Working Conditions The active portion of the Guiding year typically ranges from September to May or June, with units usually meeting once a week. Depending on the role, you could be working virtually or attending ad hoc meetings.
