| Description |
The Role: We are seeking new volunteers to join our Board of Directors. The term is for two years with renewal up to three terms. Expertise: We need to fill the Treasurers position. We are seeking an accountant or financial professional. We are also looking for folks with the following expertise: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Law, Human Resources and Board Governance. |
| Training Details | We encourage all applications, especially from interested individuals representing the following communities: Indigenous Peoples, African Nova Scotians and other Racially Visible People, Persons with Disabilities and LGBTQ2S+. We invite members of these diverse communities to voluntarily self-identify in your cover letter if you feel comfortable doing so. |
| Working Conditions |
Who should apply: We are looking for new Board Members (19 years old +) who can enhance our Mission & Values. We ask that Board Members commit to: • Attend Board meetings (once a month, except for June, July, August, and December). • Prepare for Board meetings by reviewing advance materials. • Be willing to consider participating in one or more board committees. • Promote Chebucto Links in the community. • Can communicate by email and join meetings virtually when needed. |
