DesBrisay Museum
We are proudly the hub of heritage, art, and culture for Bridgewater and Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. The DesBrisay Museum is home to many clubs offering near daily programming and special events throughout the year. We provide residents with a safe social space to learn new skills, many made possible through our refreshed Heritage Gallery.
Visit us to learn about Bridgewater’s colourful history, see local folk art, research your heritage home, and explore our interactive and fun exhibits for children. Check out our Gift Shop with local history books, children’s toys, giftware, and work by artisans across Lunenburg County.
The museum is situated in the beautiful Woodland Gardens – a great place to walk your dog, have a picnic, or throw the frisbee. We are wheelchair accessible, and a designated senior-friendly facility. Through feedback and facility assessments from our partners at Autism Nova Scotia, we continue to improve upon our space by following sensory-friendly best practices.
