Description The Animation & Interpretation volunteer stream is an essential part of the interpretive program at Memory Lane Heritage Village bringing to life the 1940s on the Eastern Shore.

The volunteer stream involves the following adult volunteer roles:
- Animation: people in period clothing recreating life in the 1940s.
- Costuming: people who sew, knit, and mend the replica period clothing.
- Guiding: people in period clothing who engage and facilitate group visits and school trips.

There are also roles for young people as animators and youth guides, as well as "Cookies" - costumed helpers in the Cookhouse who clean tables, restock cutlery, and help to tidy up.
