| Description |
We're looking for volunteers to help deliver furniture to families once they have found the items they need. You would be working with at least one other volunteer to deliver items from 2739 Agricola street to the newcomers' homes throughout HRM, primarily Halifax and Dartmouth. Also pickup furniture donations from throughout HRM. We'd love you to have a vehicle, trailer hitch or a trailer but it's ok if you don't! We need people who can help carry items to/from the vehicle as well! If you do use a personal vehicle we pay for gas. |
| Training Details | You will be working with experienced delivery volunteers for 'on the job' training. |
| Working Conditions | The ability to safely carry heavy and awkward items is essential. It's also helpful if you are familiar with the HRM streets and communities. There are lots of giggles and chuckles with this group! |
