Annapolis Valley Historical Society - Macdonald Museum
The Macdonald Museum is located in the former Macdonald Consolidated School building in Middleton, NS. The Macdonald Consolidated School was founded by Sir William C. Macdonald and was the first consolidated school building in Canada. It operated from 1903 to 1979. Today, the museum houses the Nova Scotia Clock collection, artifacts from the Annapolis Valley a recreated classroom and general store, a research library and other collections representing Nova Scotia history.
